where community, wellness, and culture come together
It's All About Local
Discover the best of what our community has to offer at the Brownsville Farmers Market, where fresh food, local businesses,
and community come together.
Held every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Linear Park,
the Brownsville Farmers Market is operated by the Brownsville Wellness Coalition and is dedicated exclusively to fresh, locally
grown, locally made, and health-focused products. From seasonal fruits and vegetables harvested by local farmers to artisan foods, baked goods, handcrafted products, and value-added items,
every purchase directly supports small businesses and the
local economy.
More than just a place to shop, the Brownsville Farmers Market
is a vibrant community gathering space where families, friends,
and neighbors connect while enjoying healthy food, live music, educational activities, and local culture. As one of only a few
certified farmers markets in the Rio Grande Valley that accepts
SNAP and WIC benefits, we are committed to making fresh,
nutritious food accessible and affordable for everyone.
Whether you're shopping for the week's freshest produce, discovering unique local products, or simply enjoying
a Saturday morning outdoors, you'll find a welcoming,
pet-friendly environment that celebrates healthy living,
sustainability, and community.

What's Fresh at The Market!
Every Saturday, you'll discover a wide variety of fresh, locally grown, and handcrafted products from
our community's farmers, food artisans, and small businesses.
Shop for seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, farm-fresh eggs, goat cheese, local honey, artisan breads
and baked goods, olive oil tamales, homemade salsas, jalapeño dip, cilantro sauce, garlic hummus, kombucha, artisan teas, organic smoothies, fresh juices, locally roasted coffee, vegan muffins, tree nut butters, granola,
jams and jellies, fresh shrimp and other seafood, micro-greens, plants and trees, beautiful flower arrangements, ready-to-eat meals, healthy pet treats, and so much more.
Every purchase supports local farmers, local makers, and a healthier Brownsville while bringing the freshest products from our community directly to your table.
Get Involved
Be part of something bigger. Join the Brownsville Wellness Coalition and help create a healthier,
stronger community for everyone. Whether you're volunteering at the Brownsville Farmers Market, supporting community events, helping in our gardens, or sharing your skills, every contribution
makes a meaningful difference.
Volunteering is a chance to meet new people, give back to your community, and be part of programs
that improve health, increase access to fresh food, and strengthen neighborhoods across Brownsville.
Together, we can grow healthier communities—one volunteer, one family, and one neighborhood
at a time.
Become a Vendor
Join the Brownsville Farmers Market and become part of a vibrant community that celebrates local agriculture, entrepreneurship, and healthy living. We're always looking for passionate vendors who grow, create, and produce high-quality products that support our mission of promoting fresh, local, and sustainable food.
Artisans
Artisan vendors create handmade, handcrafted products rather than reselling commercially manufactured items. Eligible products include handcrafted home goods, natural body care products, artwork, candles, woodworking, textiles, pottery, jewelry, and other original creations made by the vendor.
Farmers
Farmers are the heart of our market. If you grow, harvest,
or raise your own agricultural products, we encourage you
to apply. Eligible vendors include growers of fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, microgreens, eggs, honey, and other farm products produced locally.
Our goal is to connect the community directly with the people who grow their food.
Kids Market Vendors
Our Kids Market is designed to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. Young vendors are encouraged to sell products they have grown or made themselves, such as artwork, crafts, baked goods, garden produce, homemade beverages, and other original creations. Parents are welcome to guide and supervise, but children should actively manage their booth and interact with customers throughout the market.
Food Vendors
Food vendors create or prepare food products for sale at the market. This includes baked goods, ready-to-eat foods, beverages, sauces, jams, specialty foods, and other value-added products. All food vendors must comply with local health regulations and possess any required permits, including
a valid Food Handler Certificate, before participating in the market.
